To celebrate 25 years of the excellent Touch label, Garden regular Si_Comm mixed a selection of his favourite tracks from their huge back catalogue. Not simply a mix of record into record but more a case of record on top of record on TOP of record! It was to be a beautifully chilled evening with no mention of the Wo*ld C*p Fin*ls!
For his 13th mix for the show Si_Comm kept the gentle, minimalist groove flowing in his own inimitable style. With plenty of fresh new music from the Type and Morr Music labels, this was yet another very chilled out evening here in The Garden Of Earthly Delights.
As The Modern 13 this fine collective of musicians released a beautiful EP of classical and contemporary jazz last year to great acclaim, not least from me! Their guitarist and pianist Andrew Costa has arranged an exclusive hour long eclectic mix featuring music from Keith Hudson to The Beatles alongside Bill Hicks and Duke Ellington and his Orchestra, an audio treat you really would be daft to miss.
The strangely named Ral Partha Vogelbacher also known as Thee More Shallows hail from San Francisco. Their exclusive session was a blissful acoustic set with enough off-kilter twists and turns to allow me the chance to complement their tunes with suitably unusual rock and pop delights.

Held over from last month, this exclusive chat with the ex- Blur man who now has a blossoming solo career promises to spill the beans regarding his recent album 'Love Travels At Illegal Speeds'. He is a very laid back & down to earth kinda guy so expect a nice, cozy chat and no mention of Gorillaz.

Steve Hillage has been in experimental domains since the late 1960s, from Gong, Arzachel, Egg and Khan. In the 70's he was prolific with some fine solo LP's and in the 90's came back with System 7. I found myself playing some of his music at home recently and decided he would make a great subject for a retrospective mix and he hardly ever gets played on the radio too, so I hope I sorted that out tonight.

I had been looking forward to having Mr.Pink and his Haunted Grafitti 5 in The Garden for a few years now & tonight he finally wandered up The Garden path! Expecting the unexpected was probably the best way to describe tonight's show, and there were plenty of Animal Collective, Panda Bear, Black Dice and all manna of grooviness on offer.

An exclusive session with the Canadian band Barzin. Signed in UK to Monotreme records who are also home to Garden favourites 65 Days Of Static, they are a much more chilled band in comparison to their labelmates. They performed 4 songs tonight including a cover of Lou Reed's Walk On The Wild Side, or should that be Mild Side...?

Another fine Folkwit Records star shone in The Garden this evening. Pulco plays gentle acoustic Folk with an aquatic twist for tonight's exclusive session and I complemented his tracks by tending my reef ...er, and keeping my oxygen tank full as I dove into my record boxes.
